Pekín, 6 abr (EFE).- China dijo este miércoles que el reciente anuncio de Australia, Estados Unidos y Reino Unido de cooperar en el desarrollo de armas hipersónicas “intensifica la carrera armamentista”, por lo que “las naciones de Asia deben estar extremadamente alerta.”
“Bajo el pretexto de la crisis en Ucrania o el mantenimiento de la seguridad en la región de Asia y el Pacífico, estos países ahora se han unido para cooperar en el desarrollo de armas hipersónicas. Bueno, esto solo aumentará el riesgo de proliferación nuclear e intensificará la carrera armamentista”, dijo el miércoles el portavoz de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Zhao Lijian.
“Las naciones asiáticas deben estar extremadamente atentas” luego del último anuncio de estos tres países, que conforman la alianza de seguridad AUKUS, a la que Beijing se refirió anteriormente como “la OTAN del Pacífico”, dijo.
En uno de sus últimos discursos, el Ministro del Exterior Wang Yi criticó la creación del pacto y dijo que él va “contra el espíritu de paz para los países de esa región”.

China cree, correctamente, que el grupo AUKUS y sus planes militares están concebidos hacia reducir la influencia militar de China en la región Asia-Pacífico.
